Meg White Surprises Fans at a Raconteurs Concert in Detroit

Meg White reportedly made a surprise appearance at the Raconteurs' hometown show at the Fillmore Detroit this weekend. The show happened nearly a year after The White Stripes canceled their 2007 fall tour after the drummer had reportedly been suffering from "acute anxiety" that left her unable to travel at the time.

After the Raconteurs' encore break on Sunday night, Meg – Jack's ex-wife – entered the stage accompanied only by him, to sit at Raconteurs drummer Patrick Keeler's kit and "tap on some of the drums," according to Billboard. After an uneventful "performance" by the drummer, Jack White shouted to the anxious crowd – who thought they would be getting a song from The White Stripes – "Hey everybody, this is Meg White!"

To the crowd's dismay, Meg reportedly only waved while exiting the stage and didn't stay for the encore performance. Although the two didn't perform, the sight of Meg White may give fans hope for the future. Jack White has also commented that he and his former wife are already at work on their seventh album.

The Raconteurs have been touring since April 20 in support of their new album, Consolers of the Lonely, and will wrap up the tour this weekend at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee.
