Hayley Williams, the often sweet frontwoman of Paramore, was none to pleased to find that one of her childhood notebooks was being sold on eBay – by her ex-stepfather.



Williams recently spoke out about the incident on the band's LiveJournal account: "So ... I've decided to do this. It was only half thought out, but I'm doin' it anyways," Williams stated. "I saw that post someone made about the 'handwritten book' on eBay. Yes, it's mine. Hahah. I don't remember being a sad child, but I definitely loved horror films at a really young age. I guess that was reflected in this particular assignment. Anyway, that's not exactly what I'm posting about. I'm actually posting about the seller of this item. It happens to be my ex-stepfather. Who is ... well ... insane, hence the reason he is my EX-stepfather."

In the heated post, titled "eBay revenge," Williams toyed with the idea of releasing her ex-stepfather's name, workplace and phone number in order to "show him what it feels like when your personal life is out there for everyone to put their hands on." Fortunately for him, she decided against it, or so it seemed. Though she asked fans not to bid on the item, because she was going to buy it herself, Williams left an indiscrete postscript that included a phone number between the words, "coughgivehimhellcough." As of press time, the notebook – made of stapled construction paper with a young child's handwriting – had been removed from eBay and the provided phone number was no longer working.

This isn't the first – and certainly won't be the last – personal confrontation brought into the public for Paramore. Earlier this year, after canceling a week of European tour dates in February, the band blogged themselves into another sticky situation, with false rumors surfacing of Paramore breaking up and Williams' pregnancy being a cause for the cancellation.

In a previous interview with MTV News, Williams said, "We've been posting blogs to our LiveJournal and talking to our fans that way for years now, and it's always been something that's been really fun for us. But now it's crazy, because I'll post something, and it's all over the place. It's really funny how things have escalated, and how people make a huge deal out of the tiniest things. We were coming home, we canceled a week of shows, and then the next thing you know, I'm pregnant."

Of course, Paramore aren't breaking up, and Williams is far from pregnant. Having recently finished their co-headlining tour with Jimmy Eat World in early May, Paramore will kick off their own European tour today with a show in Brussels. The band will tour North America later this summer.
